Uruguan experience wins

  Howzat bar, Makati, Manila

Once again rain played its part and gave Uruguay the edge over the seemingly inexperienced Korea. Koreans did not play bad by any means but the uruguans defended well, stuck to their strategy (whatever that was) and managed to wake up in time to regain the lead in 2nd half.

Amazingly they opened the 2nd half as if it was about to be over. What the heck were they thinking? Pass 45 minutes kicking the ball around? Didn’t they realize the Koreans will come back wanting to hurt? Couldn’t they figure out that the Korean coach will ask the team to go all out and get the goal? Didn’t they have the common sense to know that the Koreans will go full guns at them the moment it kicks off in 2nd half? What a stupid way to open the half for the Uruguans. Koreans simply overran them until their equalizer.

Thankfully for the uruguans, their sleep was not really a slumber and they woke up quickly enough to score the winner. Uruguay was the stronger team and they’ll do well if they avoid going into naps like these after scoring.
